Vinton Unlimited is pleased to announce it has received a $1,500 grant from the Iowa Tourism Office. These funds supported the “Take Time to Explore Vinton” project. This project was aimed at promoting Vinton and tourism within the community. Funds were used to update and print various brochures about the community of Vinton including points of interest and retail & restaurant options. Funds were also used to purchase brochure racks that will be installed in Casey’s, John’s Qwik Stop, Ehlingers, Fast Stop, the Cobblestone and City Hall.

With information available, people will be well informed about what there is to see and do in Vinton. The information will hopefully spark interest in coming to explore Vinton. These brochures will serve as a great resource for gas station and hotel staff when visitors are asking questions about the community Melissa Schwan, Vinton Unlimited Director noted.

Racks will be installed throughout the week.
