My wife Renee, son David and daughter Maya are residents of Vinton as of July 2015, albeit we have been in and out of Vinton for almost their entire life. We moved here from Illinois and are happy to be living here.

I am the assistant principal here at Tilford Elementary. One of the greatest factors in our moving to the area was the quality of education my children would be receiving by attending the schools here. We love the smalltown atmosphere and enjoy many of the events and activities the town has to offer. This plays into one of the reasons I have chosen to also serve for the last few years on the Vinton Unlimited committee of Community Affairs. The Community Affairs committee supports those events that the entire community can enjoy.

I have been on the Vinton Unlimited Board of Directors for several years representing the school district. I love having the opportunity to help direct our community in a manner that the children will be able to appreciate in the future. It’s important that our children not simply graduate and move on but to be proud to call Vinton home. My goal is to help create a community that not only provides wonderful opportunities as they grow, but one they will choose to return to after they have achieved their higher education.

To me, being on the board of Vinton Unlimited means doing my part to continue making Vinton a great community in which to live and call home.
