I am happy to call Vinton our home and our family has benefited over the last 20 years from the excellent school system, parks and recreation activities, local access to grocery, retail, healthcare, and numerous other services that Vinton offers.

Currently, I am Director of Virginia Gay Hospital Health Care Foundation, this opportunity has taught me an appreciation for the strength and breadth of how our community interacts and works together and what our community provides. Out of that appreciation I have given back to our community as a member of Lion’s Club, PEO member supporting education, and a board member of Pink Heals of Eastern Iowa.

Vinton Unlimited has been another opportunity for me to give back to the community. I have had the privilege of serving on the Vinton Unlimited board for several years, including serving as past president and vice president. Currently I serve as VU’s secretary. As a board member, I have been involved with helping on VU’s Community Affairs committee. One of my favorite events the committee helps with is Boom-Fest in downtown Vinton. It’s exciting to see so many people fill the downtown area and experience what is great about Vinton! I am honored to serve as a board member and help V.U. represent our wonderful community! Vinton has a lot to offer and I enjoy the ability to see our community thrive.
