Phil Thomas is an active performer in a number of local bands playing throughout Eastern, and Southeastern Iowa, including the bluegrass group, Straightback Chair; an acoustic ensemble, The Cedar River Whalers; and an Americana acoustic trio, S, P, & B. For his solo performance he enjoys Americana, Roots, Folk, and Bluegrass music. Along with his tenor vocal talents, he also accompanies songs with guitar, mandolin, and electric bass with fingerpicking and Carter-style strumming styles.
